I just thought I’d say a word about 2013 now that it is drawing to a close…
Over the years I have heard many people say, “I’ll be glad to see the back of this year – I can’t wait for the New Year and a fresh start!” Usually I have had some sense of what they have been through and have sympathised – but never shared this sense of putting the old year behind one and letting out a sigh of relief! But 2013 has been an extraordinary year for me – and I know I am not alone! Despite this though, I am glad to have lived through it – and have a real sense of being richer for the experience!
For me 2013 has been a year of powerful challenges – significant health issues with my elderly parents; a training decision which led to all sorts of angst and soul searching; and a business decision which turned into a nightmare…
But now as I look back there has been a very clear theme emerging: stop placing all your energy into new projects, stop being lured away by flashy impressive looking opportunities – and instead place your care and attention where it is already needed – open your eyes and see what is here and what you have to give.
It is an old cliche – but – as my children often tell me – a cliche is a cliche because it holds truth – and the cliche is: nothing is more important than the people in our lives – it is the way our lives touch each other and the experiences that we have together that make life extraordinary, delicious and fun!
So I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who has touched me in 2013 – my sweet, sweet parents who become more loving and lovable every year; my ever patient and forgiving husband; my fabulous daughters; my lovely friends; my extraordinary and courageous clients; and my dear, dear Friday Morning Meditation Group who came into being this February and have been a revelation!
So – as I am continuously telling the Friday Morning Group – everything is in flow, nothing stays the same, the universe is continually unfolding – and nothing is too wonderful to be true! So here’s to 2013 … and … I am SO excited about 2014! Do join me – for meditation on a Friday – new members always welcome; for a colonic, a massage; to deepen your relationship with “Massage and more…for couples”; or maybe a Journey process… and watch this space for new offerings: food intolerance testing; Saturday workshops – on meditation, on Byron Katie’s The Work … so many exciting things I want to share.
If you’d like to be included on my e-mail list so you’ll receive updates on anything new I’m offering – just drop me an e-mail via the contact page on the website and ask to be added. And if you have any experiences of your own – of how 2013 has been for you, please do share them!
